International College of Surgeons Hong Kong Section
The International College of Surgeons (ICS) founded in 1935 aims at bringing surgeons of all nationalities and countries together to advance peacefully the science of surgery. ICS is a non-governmental, non-lobbing organization and apolitical global surgical community that carries out humanitarian missions besides advancing the frontiers of various surgical disciplines by education and research through international scientific meetings, conferences and publications. ICS is the only global surgical society in official relations as a non-governmental entity with World Health Organization.
The truly global scope of ICS surgical community is exemplified by ICS monthly surgical publication: “International Surgery Journal” which is excellent reference resource for practicing surgeons, surgical trainees and researchers. ICS has members in over 100 countries with members residing in all five continents of the world.
